Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay opens with a mild lemon and buttered popcorn bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and nicely coats the mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty apple with notes of caramel and gentle minerality. I also detected some Anjou pear and gentle oak as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Chardonnay is very food friendly and would pair well with grilled swordfish with drizzled lemon butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fresh, elegant aromas of apples, pears, lemons with tangerines hints layered by mineral tones. Floral honey and subtle English cream are also present with a buttery whisper beside the soft oak. Deep and structured, the freshness and fruit character are enhanced by mineral accents. This is a versatile pairing wine - it could work with anything from firm flakey fish to chicken in a rich cream sauce.
