Wine Review: This entry level wine from Mercer is very enjoyable. It is a light golden yellow color. The bouquet, while a bit shy, is sweet pineapple, pear, slate and light oak. In the mouth, it is medium plus bodied, slightly creamy and dry, with juicy acidity. Flavors of green apple, butter and white pepper with integrated minerality leads to the finish which lingers nicely with some subtle spice. Crab stuffed mushrooms would go well with this very good value Chard. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Notes of butterscotch, lemon cream pie and fresh pineapple juice greet you on the nose. The voluminous fruit continues in the mouth with flavors of Meyer lemon and sweet vanilla. The full-bodied fruit is balanced by clean bright acidity that leads into along, lingering finish. Enjoy with chicken tacos, mac n' cheese (homemade or the box variety), and grilled fish.
