Wine Review: This orangish pink colored wine from Meeker is very good. It opens with a new leather and matchstick bouquet with hints of red cherry and strawberry in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, very approachable and coats your mouth nicely. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused faint strawberry rhubarb and light raspberry tea. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This wine is a perfect summer quaffer. It is also food friendly and would pair very nicely with bacon wrapped shrimp. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: ZinGre is our little play on the term 'Vin Gris', which is French for Rose. Our goal is for the wine to be tropical and crisp, with that hallmark acidity our customers have come to expect from a Meeker wine. This Zin Gris delivers punchy strawberry lemonade notes with delightful brightness. On the palate, lemon peel, cran-apple and strawberry give way to crisp acidity and a clean, elegant finish.
