Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Chardonnay from California's Dry Creek Valley is more nuanced than a typical California Chardonnay. On the nose, it shows honeysuckle, beeswax, tangerine, vanilla and light oak. On the palate, it is bright, round, silky and dry with a medium plus body, nice structure and balanced acidity. Complex flavors of green apple, lime, spice, mild oak and nicely integrated minerality make this an interesting wine. It has a clean long finish. Crab cakes would go well with this very nice Chardonnay. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, this wine shines with the color of deep yellow straw. On the nose, you'll find ripe apricot and lemongrass with subtle notes of tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this round wine has a balanced fleshy fruit character, like apple chutney with the texture of a creme brulee. As was the intention, there is a very subtle touch of oak due to the use of neutral French oak barrels. This wine finishes broad and clean with a touch of vanilla and chamomile.
