Wine Review: This slight opaque deep purple colored Merlot opens with a black raspberry and cola bouquet with hints black cherry, dried tarragon, and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is tasty black cherry and red plum blend with notes of flinty minerality and herbal tea. We also detected a hint of blueberry and mocha in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its fruit and dusty tannins drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Merlot with veal chop, filet mignon or grilled portobello mushrooms. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our 2018 Heritage Merlot is filled with bright mouthwatering acidity giving freshness that brings the palate to life with elegant characters of blueberry, black cherry, spiced plum, cocoa, and fresh herbs. A very structured mouthfeel offers an abundance of minerality and lushness making this a wine that can be enjoyed now but will also open over the years.
