Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Zinfandel from McPrice Myers opens with a mild blackberry and black pepper bouquet with hints of violets and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very round, lush, and rich. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry and plum pudding blend with notes of dried fig and allspice. I also detected a hint of kiwi in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and very mild fine tannins fade away nicely. The crowd-pleasing Zin will be liked by many at your upcoming holiday parties. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: You may have heard that Zinfandel is my favorite wine to just drink and enjoy. Our 2023 features dragon fruit, pomegranate juice, early season black figs, orange zest, candied hibiscus, double delight rose. The palate is mineral-laden, with crunchy, energetic acidity, juicy and lively, with a persistent, staccato finish. Zin is the best bang for your buck here in Paso Robles, which is why I call ours Pound for Pound. Stack it up against other wines at the same price point and the Zinfandel wins just about every time.
