Wine Review: This slightly opaque deep ruby colored Syrah based blend from McPrice Myers opens with a blueberry and toasted oak bouquet with hints of black cherry, ground coffee, and menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with fresh plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, fresh, smooth, rich, and concentrated. The flavor profile is stewed plum and black tea blend with notes of Taza Mexican-style dark chocolate with guajillo chilis and black pepper. We also detected hints of black cherry, black licorice, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and bold tannins are long and show a little bit of heat. We would pair this intense red blend with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Sugar-dusted black currants, Bing cherry, raspberry puree, roasted plums, lilac, birch beer, sweet olive, black pepper crusted beef carpaccio, eucalyptus pollen, toffee, Mexican hot chocolate, espresso beans. Palate approaches soft and supple, but firms with fine-grained tannins, and finishes juicy, with a taught mineral coil.
