Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah from McPrice Myers opens with a blueberry and smoked meat bouquet with hints of mulberry, tobacco leaf, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and blueberry blend with notes of black tea and black licorice. We also detected hints of menthol, cedar, and black raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins show nice length. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah with a cassoulet. Enjoy - KWGTP
