Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah based blend from McPrice Myers is a big boy wine! It opens with a mild anise, dark chocolate, and blueberry bouquet with hints of violets and cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, lush, and fresh. The flavor profile is blueberry pancake and stewed black plum blend with notes of graphite, blackberry, and red currant. We also detected some hints of black licorice, cedar, dark chocolate, and a dash of cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this red blend for a while before pairing it with Roy's rib roast and a firepit. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Black fruits, Luxardo cherries, pomegranate reduction, sea-salt black licorice, coffee-rubbed steak, caramelized lardons, leather, cardamom, all framed atop a dense, concentrated, broad mouthfeel, deceptively lively, that never feels heavy-handed.
