Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah opens with a dark chocolate and blackberry bouquet with hints of toasted oak, black cherry cola and lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, savory and bright. The flavor profile is black plum and black cherry with notes of stony minerality and smoky oak with hints of cola and baking spice. The finish is dry, and its bold dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this this Syrah before pairing it with beef bourguignon, pot roast, or a smoked brisket. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Charred tri-tip crust, singed rosemary, tamari reduction, vanilla waffle cone, hoisin, Korean short ribs, sarsaparilla, macerated mulberry, and creamy peppercorn sauce. Core of sweet, supple, expressive, briary, and blue fruits. The palate is textural, persistent, and lush, yet lively.
