Wine Review: This deep purple colored wine opens with a bouquet featuring blueberry jam, smokehouse, dried strawberry, warm spice and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. We also found it to be juicy. The flavor profile is a smoked meat and ripe black cherry blend with notes of black licorice and black pepper. There are hints of vanilla, cola, acai berry and stony minerality mixed in. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins and flavors have moderate length. This wine would pair nicely with a juicy bacon burger off the grill. Enjoy – Ken and Mark
Winemaker Notes: Macerated cherries, strawberry reduction, sweet spice, spring flowers, plum tart, melted licorice, and fresh herbs. The palate has an exuberant, sweet approach, with a long, mineral-laced finish. Enjoy with: Smoked brisket with red wine reduction barbecue sauce.
