Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah based blend opens with a smoked meat and black cherry bouquet with hints of moist pipe tobacco, cola and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium balanced, slightly acidic and savory. This flavor profile is black currant and red plum blend with notes red licorice. We also detected hints of green tea, black pepper, and Bakers chocolate. The finish is dry and its round well-managed tannins linger nicely. The Panel would pair this red blend with steak tips. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Marion berry, dark leather, smoked plums, blueberry/peach cobbler, acacia flower, lavender creme brûlée, red eye gravy, violet, ripe olive, hoisin, currant paste, and melted licorice. Broad, weighty, and plush on the palate with a densely packed finish.
