Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored blend from McPrice Myers is a very good value wine. It opens with a fragrant spiced red plum and raspberry bouquet with hints of graphite and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and light dark cherry blend with notes of oolong tea and 70% cocoa dark chocolate. I also detected hints of oak and blueberry at the very end. The finish is rather dry and its moderate grippy tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine would pair well with a juicy mushroom and bacon burger off the grill or smoked brisket with barbecue sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of smoky plum, mocha, licorice, and black raspberries. On the palate, Rainier cherry, boysenberry, dark chocolate, brown spice, lush tannins and a long, supple finish.
