Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant pear, oak and pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced and super smooth. Like the nose, the flavor profile is a tasty oak influenced pear and pineapple blend with notes of toffee. The finish is dry and its flavors are very prolonged. This Chard is intense and made for oak lovers. It will be best to be enjoyed on its own. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Great wines speak to both sides of your brain. They are cerebral yet artistic, rational yet hedonistic. Take our 2016 McIntyre Estate Vineyard Chardonnay. For the analytical left side, there is precision, structure and minerality. For the intuitive right side, there is texture, opulence and concentration. For both sides there are lush impressions of toast, crème brulee, oak and grilled almonds.
