Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from the Alexander Valley was one of our top finishers in our first Big Blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant pear bouquet with hints of light oak and red apple. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty red apple and pear blend with notes of oak and butterscotch. We also detected some hints of dried apricot and peach pit mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel thought this Chard would pair nicely with Coquilles St. Jacques or brie cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Enticing aromas of vanilla bean, marzipan and wild honey lead the way to Asian pear, peach and creme brulee notes in the mouth. This wonderfully refreshing Chardonnay finishes with honeysuckle and key lime with hints of jasmine and minerality.
