Wine Review: This refreshing and slightly off-dry Riesling from Germany is a medium straw color with a slight orange tinge. It has a very pretty bouquet of green apple, flint, white florals, and a hint of honeydew melon. There is crisp plus acidity on the palate, with a medium-minus body. It is very clean, easy drinking and food friendly. There are flavors of green apple, lime juice, stony minerality and white peach. The finish is dry and moderate in length. Pair with Thai spring rolls. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: A delightful off-dry Riesling that combines fresh fruit flavors with an optimal interplay of sweetness and acidity. This introductory wine displays the fine character of the Mosel-Ruwer region in the inimitable style of Maximin Grünhaus. It has a charming lightness that makes it hard to resist. Balanced and refreshing with fine, crisp acidity and aromas of fresh apples, mirabelle and pear. Fruit for the Maximin Riesling is sourced from several vineyard parcels in the Ruwer and Mosel valleys that were recently acquired by the von Schubert family.
