Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Germany opens with a sage, ash, lime and sweet tea bouquet with hints of apricot and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, smooth, and luscious. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle sweet tea and lemon blend with notes of mild apricot and orange marmalade. We also detected a hint of lime zest and crushed stone minerality. The finish is slightly sweet and fades away nicely. The Tasting Panel would certainly enjoy this Riesling on its own. With food, we would pair it with Kerrygold Irish cheddar cheese or with a macaroon cookie. Enjoy – KWGTP
