Wine Review: This light yellow colored Kabinett level Riesling from Mosel opens with a faint Vaseline, matchstick, and ginger bouquet with hints of honey. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a ginger, Anjou pear and chalky minerality blend with notes of lemon verbena and white pepper. We also detected some hints of pineapple. The finish is off-dry and its flavors and pleasant acidity shows very nice length. We would sip this wine before or after dinner. With dessert, we would pair it with a macaroon cookie. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An alluring and captivating single-vineyard Riesling in the charmingly delicate and low-alcohol Kabinett style. The Herrenberg vineyard is based more on red slate than its neighbor Abtsberg. This wine is produced in the delicate Kabinett style, and exhibits the distinctive stone fruit flavors and red slate minerality that are typical of this vineyard’s terroir.
