Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Maximin Grunhaus opens with a faint pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, off-dry and a little zesty. The flavor profile is a refined mineral and Anjou pear blend with hints of lemon-lime zest. The finish remains off-dry and subtle. This Riesling is food friendly and would pair nicely with swordfish kabobs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This new, introductory wine displays the fine character of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region in the inimitable style of Maximin Grunhaus. It has a charming lightness that makes it hard to resist. Balanced and refreshing with fine, crisp acidity and aromas of fresh apples, Mirabelle and pear.
