Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mauritson opens with a black olive and black plum bouquet with hints of saddle leather, black currant, and forest floor. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, seamless, and structured. The flavor profile is black olive and black plum blend with notes of black tea and currant. We also detected hints of oak, graphite, and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very dusty sticky tannins linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would decant this Cab for a while before pairing it with braised short ribs or Ken’s beef bourguignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
