Wine Review: This good value Pinot Noir from New Zealand is light cranberry colored, and it opens with a cherry, smoke, cedar and damp earth bouquet. On the palate, it is light to medium bodied and dry with bright crisp acidity. The flavor profile is a cranberry, cherry and strawberry blend. We found this to be a soft and pleasant Pinot Noir whose flavors drift away nicely. We would serve it slightly chilled with grilled shrimp. A great value for the price. – Karen & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: This Pinot Noir is a vibrant cherry color, exuding an aroma of sweet raspberry complimented with sweet and spicy oak, just hinting at the layers and depth of fresh and fruity flavor. Bright and energetic to taste, it is brimming with red fruit and soft, supple tannins, perfectly seasoned with a dash of oak for those light toasty notes. For the finale is a fresh, lingering finish. Pour yourself a glass of this Pinot and serve with a lightly seasoned steak off the grill.
