Wine Review: This light straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Chile opens with a fragrant yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, acidic and very mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused ripe pink grapefruit with notes of white pepper. I also detected hints lime and green melon as well. The finish is rather dry and refreshing. This Sauvignon Blanc would be a perfect wine to consider at the beach this summer. I would pair this wine with bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a very pale yellow color, with light green hues. The nose is complex and delicate, with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit such as mango, papaya, cherimoya and lime peel, intertwined with herbs notes. Refreshingly crisp on the palate, with concentrated fruit flavors and a persistent minerality on the finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is ideally served with seafood such as salmon or bluefish, ceviche, sea urchin and oysters. It also pairs well with goat cheese and sharp, blue cheeses.
