Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir was one of my favorites from my recent review of the Matetic portfolio. It is dark ruby colored and opens with an inviting mild cherry cola bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry with hints of RC cola and a touch of black raspberry. I also detected a hint of black pepper and oak. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This really nice Pinot from Chile would be perfect with pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Of an intense bright red cherry color. In aromas, presents red fruits like ripe cherry and plum, mixed with spicy notes, herbs and moist earth. Delicate in the nose and mouth, but at the same time concentrated, with good structure and balance between a correct acidity and the sweetness of the mature tannins. Persistent and elegant. It is suggested as accompaniment for fatty fish, cheese, dry-cured ham, light red meats, pasta and spicy food. Serve at 14°C.
