Wine Review: This dark red colored Barbera opens with a mild blueberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with medium acidity that is nicely integrated. The flavor profile is tart cherry with notes of oregano and stony minerality. I also detected hints of blackberry and plum mixed in. The finish is dry and its friendly fruit flavors fade away. This approachable Barbara is food friendly and versatile. I would pair it with spaghetti and Joe's homemade meatballs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep purplish, almost impenetrable red. Elegant, sweet, and tempting bouquet with intense fruity notes. Fresh, and well-balanced. An easy to drink wine which is tasty and rich without being excessively heavy. Perfect with pasta, rice, and soup and sliced meats.
