Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Dolcetto opens with an attractive rich, melted dark chocolate bouquet with hints of strawberry in background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is oak influenced dark chocolate covered blackberry with notes of chalky minerality. I also detected a hint of plum towards the end. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Dolcetto would pair nicely with eggplant bolognese. Enjoy – Ken
