Wine Review: This Barolo is on the gentler side of Barolo’s. It opens with a dried cherry and light leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and refined. Yet it is also juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle red plum and tart cherry blend with notes of cedar and minerality. The finish is dry and its sticky mild tannins do show up after a while. I would pair this wine with Italian beef braciole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Garnet red color. The bouquet is a broad and variable spectrum of perfumes, ranging from tempting spicy notes to those of a sweeter, floral and fruity nature. Full-bodied, classic and well-structured wine which ages well and perfectly represents the important character of our land. It is best to decant and serve it at temperatures between 18-20 C. It achieves its best expression when served with red meats, particularly game, and with dishes dressed with truffle.
