Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Pinot Grigio based blend from Massican opens with a very inviting grapefruit pith and Bosc pear bouquet with hints of lime, honeydew melon and stony minerality. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean and zesty. The flavor profile is chalky minerality, gentle Anjou pear, and saline blend with notes of mild grapefruit and herbal tea. We also picked up a hint of almond towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile Pinot Grigio with baked Dover sole, lemon trout almandine, or with fish n’ chips from The Lobster Shack at Two Lights. Enjoy – KWGTP
