Wine Review: This white gold colored Italian white blend opens with a mild fruit cocktail like bouquet. I specifically detected some peaches, pineapple and cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its fruit and acidity. The flavor profile is a pleasant Anjou pear with notes of minerality. I also detected some white pepper. The finish is dry and lingers nicely after the wine is gone. This very nice white wine is a good everyday option. It would pair well with capellini with Nantucket bay scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep straw yellow with golden reflections. Complex, attractive, and floral bouquet with refreshing hints of citrus peel and fuller aromas of apricot and peach, plus tinges of apple. Tasting the wine, as well as the usual freshness and acidity typical of Pinot Grigio there is also a certain weight in the mid-palate and a good structure to make this very pleasing indeed. Masianco is an ideal aperitif. Perfect with hors d’oeuvres, fish, and white meats. A white wine of medium body and great personality, ideal for modern cuisine in general.
