Wine Review: This dark violet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mascota opens with a blackberry and toasted oak bouquet with hints of blueberry and stewed plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. This wine has an exceptional mouthfeel that is nicely balanced and silky smooth. The flavor profile is a blueberry and gentle oak blend with notes of stone dust and black cherry. We also detected a hint of black tea. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would decant this Cab for a bit before pairing it with a porterhouse steak and fireplace. Enjoy – KWGTP
