Wine Review: This deep purple colored Malbec from Argentina impressed the Tasting Panel. It opens with a layered bouquet of blackberry and acai berry along with hints of smoky oak, book leather, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, dense, and rich and displays nice palate coverage. The flavor profile is a concentrated blackberry and boysenberry blend with notes of black tea, dark chocolate, and oak. We also detected hints of black pepper and acai berry with a touch of tobacco. The finish is dry and its fine dusty tannins build-up nicely and are sustained. We would pair this Malbec with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
