Wine Review: This bright garnet colored Spanish red blend opens with an attractive cedar wood like bouquet with hints of strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very juicy. The flavor profile is a fruit forward ripe red cherry that bursts in your mouth with notes of black pepper and hints of anise and spice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build quickly and stick around in your mouth for several seconds. This juicy, but firm wine would pair well with many foods. I would try it with beef stew, our second taster enjoyed it lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine symbolizes the fusion of an ancient land and innovative enological practices; with intense structure and longevity, it has a seductive nose containing notes of violets, red roses, black licorice and sweet spice. On the palate the wine is multi-layered, with notes of chocolate-covered cherries, cedar, vanilla bean, and soft, round tannins that give it a very long finish. Ready to drink upon release, this wine can also be aged for up to 30 years.
