Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from Spain really impressed our mini-tasting group. It opens with an attractive blueberry bouquet with hints of floral scents and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and red plum blend with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of oak and black cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins are nicely extended. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with chicken marbella. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From selected vineyards between 12 and 40 years old, primarily Garnacha together with Carinena and Syrah, aged 12 months in new French oak. Retains a youthful purple color, the developed aroma is full of blackberry fruit and exotic balsamic notes. Consistent flavors and a long and elegant finish without heaviness or heat belie its concentration.
