Wine Review: We both really liked this Cabernet Franc from Maryhill. It is deep ruby colored. On the nose, we detected notes of red plum, red currant and black raspberry, along with traces of coffee and leather. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, very juicy, soft and well-balanced. The flavor profile features gentle notes of black raspberry, ripe plum and nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This easy sipper is the perfect accompaniment to a rabbit, duck or quail dish. It would also be nice on its own. - Karen and Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Warm aromas of currant with dried rose petal lead into a smooth palate displaying notes of chocolate and anise before giving way to a layered smooth textured finish.
