Wine Review: This Tempranillo is a steal at $12. It bright ruby colored wine opens with a mild black currant and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild plum with notes of gentle minerality and a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins and mineral notes are sticky and linger. This wine would be a perfect Angus burger wine. Smother it with sautéed mushroom and Swiss and enjoy! - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Manually harvested from estate vineyards over 40 years of age in the Rioja Alta villages of Uruñuela, Cenicero and San Asensio. Black fruit aromas of plums and blueberries are followed by a rich and velvety palate and a lingering, refreshing finish.
