Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from Austria opens with mild kiwi bouquet with a very faint hint of match stick. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balances its acidity nicely. The flavor profile is a ginger and Bosc pear blend with notes of saline and mild minerality. I also detected hints of fig and cookie dough at the very end. This wine has lots of layers to it. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors fade away nicely. This Riesling would pair perfectly with pan-fried trout with a pecan brown butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Light yellow green colored with a splendid bloom perfume intermingled with small white peach aromas. The palate is tightly knit and has acid structure rich in finesse. It exudes delicate hints of lemon that are vivid and vibrant with a vigorous finish that comes back in a wave of stone fruit flavors. Our Riesling goes best with fish such as trout. It is also very good with Asian cuisine.
