Wine Review: The opaque dark ruby colored Merlot opens with an attractive cherry vanilla bouquet with hints of oak and Dr. Brown’s cream soda. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, silky, and rather elegant. The flavor profile is a dusty black cherry with a hint of raspberry. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins linger nicely. The panel would pair this very tasty Merlot with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Lamaione leads off with a lovely, brilliant ruby red. It offers an intriguing medley of fragrances, ranging from wild red-berry fruit to delicate spicy nuances of clove and cinnamon, and concludes with an appealing hint of tobacco leaf. The palate exhibits good complexity right from the initial entry, with tasty acidity and a generous weave of tannins. Its alcohol and crispness are nicely complementary, the finish both leisurely and impressive.
