Wine Review: This dark pink colored wine from Malene is a nice summer option to consider. It opens with a mild strawberry bouquet with a hint of kiwi, maraschino cherry and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild mineral and watermelon blend with hints of strawberry lemonade. The finish is on the dry side and lingers nicely. This would be popular on the beach served slightly chilled. With food, I would try it with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage is the cuvee most reminiscent of Provence to date. On the nose, the wine has a purity of fruit with notes of white peach, citrus and wet stones. The wine blooms on the palate with flavors of ripe stone fruit, cantaloupe, and tangy citrus. The wine's texture declares its California origins with opulence, plenty of mid-palate texture and an elegant finish. Enjoy Malene Rose with diverse dishes and cuisine including: Bouillabaisse (fish soup), Pad Thai, asparagus risotto with lemon or Baja fish tacos.
