Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Burgundy is a very good food wine. It opens with a musty pear and toasted almond bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, mouthwatering and very round in the mouth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Bosc pear with notes of Granny Smith apple and hints of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. You could serve this versatile Chard with many dishes. I would serve it with pan-fried rainbow trout with a lemon-butter and almond drizzle. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Delicate yet complex, an array of aromas flood the senses, with floral, white fruit and truffle notes showing most prominently. The full bodied palate unveils lingering traces of citrus and a substantial mineral backbone that reflective of its limestone terroir. A plush, yet fresh, lengthy finish follows.
