Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from France is very elegant. It opens with a mild vanilla oak and gentle Bartlett pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a delicate blend of mild green apple and gentle minerality. I also detected a hint of lemon verbena and faint lime. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair nicely with chicken piccata with angel hair. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Clean and vibrant with distinctive citrus and mineral notes on the nose, this wine consumes the palate with a bright acidity that segues to a graceful finish. This is a classic example of the lengths a Macon-Village Chardonnay can achieve.
