Wine Review: This white gold colored Viognier from Condrieu is very good. It opens with a very inviting peach and mango like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and round. The flavor profile is mineral infused peach and apricot blend with notes of Chamomile tea and almond. I also detected hints of tangerine and just a touch of fig mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Viognier is food friendly and would pair well with Emeril's crab cakes. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pretty yellow color with green undertones. Very fruity and fresh nose on exotic fruit, pineapple, acacia flowers, lychee's, peach. Very elegant and discreet ageing notes of sweet spice. This 2016 Condrieu presents beautiful balance between richness and mineral tension which brings a lot of length to this wine. The finish is saline with beautiful bitterness.
