Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon opens with a wet stone and black raspberry bouquet with hints of black pepper, oak, and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, polished, and fresh. The flavor profile is an oak, gentle stony minerality and black raspberry blend with notes of mild strawberry licorice and pomegranate. I also detected some hints of black pepper and black tea. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins and flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this food friendly Pinot with a pinot noir, garlic, and black peppercorn roasted pork loin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Finely composed notes of ripe cherry and pomegranate are in tune with a vibrant herbal spiciness on the nose. The intricate, sleek palate reaches out with luscious red fruits and a fine lift of tannin to reign it all in. Energized and compelling, the medium body and elegant mouthfeel are sure to engage.
