Wine Review: This dark red colored Gamay from the Moulin-à-Vent commune opens with a smoke and mild blackberry bouquet with hints of light loam and peony. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and blackberry tea blend with notes of loam and tart cherry. We also detected hints of sage and a touch of black licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this Cru level Beaujolais with a grilled teriyaki salmon steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intense aromas of plush cherry and spice. Raspberry, sage and black pepper emerge in the complex, muscular body, concentrated and convivial. Notes from its pink-granite origins are evident on the palate of dark fruits.
