Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay opens with a raspberry and loam bouquet with hints of smoke. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and a little rustic. The flavor profile is a red plum and graphite blend with notes blackberry and black tea. I also picked up some hints of potting soil and pomegranate. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity and linger nicely. This Gamay would pair well with pan-seared duck breast with plum sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lilting aromas of violets and rose waft from the glass, along with red fruits and berries in this ruby-colored wine. Finely tuned flavors of pomegranate and fresh summer fruits are enlivened by a vibrant sense of acidity that leads to a supple finish. A racy wine with fine, well-structured tannins.
