Wine Review: This slightly dark red colored Pinot Noir from Tasmania opens with a fragrant and attractive raspberry bouquet with hints of oak and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is an oak influenced black raspberry with notes of graphite and black tea and hints of pomegranate. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly. I would pair it with pulled beef brisket sandwiches. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a delicate and fragrant style of Pinot with distinct characters of red apple, cranberry, nutmeg, and earth notes. The judicious use of oak works to this wine’s advantage by imparting a nice mouthfeel against the generous, supple palate.
