Wine Review: This light straw colored Chardonnay from Bourgogne opens with a mild pear bouquet with a hint of lemongrass. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, gentle and approachable. The flavor profile is a blend of light lemon and soft minerality. I also detected notes of green apple and a hint of oak. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Chardonnay is very food friendly and would pair nicely with chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From two mature vineyards in La Roche Vineuse, this is a classic Chardonnay with a nose of citrus fruits and lemon zest. The weighty, textured mid-palate boasts flavors of grilled nuts and stone fruit, while a long line of vibrant acidity enlivens the finish.
