Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Maggie Hawk opens with a very attractive cherry-cola and red raspberry bouquet with hints of vanilla bean. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, subtle and velvety. The flavor profile is a red plum and with notes of mild minerality. We also detected hints of red cherry, vanilla and coconut mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with grilled mahi-mahi or rainbow trout. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Maggy Hawk wines are a clear representation why terroir matters and Graceful Lady is the epitome of this. The characteristics are site specific. Low yields, small clusters, and ripening influenced by its location. Strong color, good balance and round tannins support aromas of cherry, dark chocolate, pennyroyal, and sandalwood. The palate has a velvety texture with a firm backbone. Complex with notes of espresso bean, nutmeg, and boysenberry. Dark, rich and opulent, Graceful Lady is to be reckoned with.
