Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Maggy Hawk is very friendly. It opens with a mild red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red cherry and gentle red raspberry blend. I also detected a hint of red plum and touch of minerality. The finish is dry and very refined. This elegant Pinot Noir calls for a light dish. I would pair it with veal saltimbocca alla romana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Once again Jolie presents as the most floral of Maggy Hawk with opulent aromas of rose petals and pennyroyal alongside notes of pomegranate and red cherry. The palate reveals a delicate but defined flavor structure of red currant, blueberry tea and sweet spices with subtle notes of anise. This continues to be a wine that demonstrates the classic beauty of Pinot Noir.
