Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley opens with black plum and mild oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of gentle oak and mild minerality. I also picked up hints of strawberry. The finish is dry and it fades away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Jolie continues to be the most delicate and oral of the Maggy Hawk wines with elegant aromas of tea leaves and violets with subtle notes of red plum and cranberry. The palate reveals finely knit flavors of blueberry, raspberry leaf, baking spice, and rosehips. This is an alluring, beautiful wine that once again shows the beauty of Pinot Noir.
