Wine Review: This was my favorite from the 2011 Maggy Hawk line-up. The "Hawkster" is bright ruby colored and opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a hint of cola and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, lush and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry with notes of black currant and gentle oak. I also detected a hint of cola and dash of pepper as well. The finish is dry and its flavors are very nicely prolonged. This Pinot is more sturdy than most and would pair wonderfully with a filet mignon. Get in line soon, this gem will be gone very quickly. Enjoy - Ken
