Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Long Island opens with a fragrant and inviting blueberry bouquet with hints of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is an appealing blueberry and plum blend with some integrated mild old oak and a dash of black pepper in the end. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins are a little sticky. This Long Island Cabernet Franc is pleasant and approachable. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A touch of oak on the nose, mingles with aromas of cherry, plum, and anise. Good acidity and firm tannins provide structure for a burst of cherry and spice on the palate, with a long elegant finish.
